We were honored to represent Hawaii on national television and had an absolute blast playing the game! Winning the car and taking home the Grand Prize was a dream come true for our family.
We hope our story inspires other families to dream big, take chances, and most importantly, have fun together!

Meet the Winning Team!
Each member of the family is working on special projects to use their talents to help people, from music to philanthropic ventures any support given to any member of the family will go to those ventures that were talked about on Family Feud but not aired! For instance, Eric is working on a prayer app and Amber is finding new innovative treatments to help people working with Dr Schaefer at her office, and if you write a note on what you want it used for, it will be used for that! If you click a support button below the family member's picture will spin and confetti will explode to celebrate!
The Parents
Ron Schaefer
Ron is a retried Medical Doctor, investor, and he helps manage the family businesses. He enjoys strategizing and bringing a touch of humor to everything he does. "It was such a privilege to be on the show," Ron shared after their first win. "We feel so lucky to have had this opportunity and it was a great bonding experience for our family." (KHON2)
Dr. Kathy Schaefer
Dr. Kathy Schaefer is a skilled physician at Botox Oahu. Known for her calm demeanor and quick thinking, skills that came in handy during Fast Money! She hit the winning button in a nail-biting sudden death round, much to the family's surprise and delight.
The Kids
Renee Schaefer
Renee is a talented photographer working at Fighting Eel. Reflecting on a close win, she said, "That was the most scary and exciting part... It was just so awesome that my mom came through for all of us. It brought us closer as a family and it gave us a sense of accomplishment. It was just cool to succeed together." (KHON2)
Amber Carter (Schaefer)
Amber is a caring nurse at Botox Oahu. She lives with her husband Brett Carter and two cats, Binx and Buffy. "This has been my dream to be on this show, so it just taught me for anything that I want to do, you just have to pursue it," Amber shared. She encourages others: "if you want to be on ‘Family Feud,’ send in a video! It was so much fun..." (KHON2)
Eric Schaefer
Eric is a creative artist (Elionmusic.com, prayerauthority.com). His editing skills (and rapping!) were key to their audition video success. Stella the Corgi now lives happily with Eric and his wife Ashley, alongside other pets such as guinea pigs and a fighting fish.

Stella
Meet Stella, our beloved Corgi MVP (Most Valuable Pet)! Originally a rescue from New Zealand, she first joined Amber's home because her energetic puppy nipping was a bit much for her first owner. While loved, the busy household wasn't the best fit, so Eric adopted her. With help from Ron, Stella had a large lipoma successfully removed and is now thriving! She absolutely loves swimming at the beach and frequently stars in photos and videos taken by beachgoers admiring her joyful dips in the ocean.
The Cat Contingent
Marshmallow
Also known as Haku. The regal blue and brown eye cat, master of staying outside for days and watching over the house.
Rascal
Isn't too interested in people and always wants to go outside. Truly lives up to the name! Energetic and curious.
Gizmo
Mom's favorite! A sweet cat who likes to lay on top of you and rub his head all over your feet when you get out of the jacuzzi.
Batcat
Also known as Buddy! Dad's favorite and the most friendly of the bunch, always ready for attention.
Rocket
Also known as Shoyu and Gingerbear, he is a stoic cat that moves like a sloth and is as tough as Stella the corgi, he doesn't back down and enjoys playing with the other cats and guarding the stair.
Mini-Moo
Named after the famous rescued dwarf cow from Disneyland. She also eats grass and is the only girl cat at the Schaefer house.
The Schaefer family has been home to other beloved pets as well such as our Jackson Chameleon, our half Cocker-Spaniel Springer-Spaniel Sparky, our Basset Hound Barney, our bouncy dog Zoey, our sweet dog who went blind and lived on another 7 years named Mocha, a Red Vented Bulbul Eric rescued and raised until he was old enough to fly away and make his own nest, as well as baby ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, hampsters, rats, a praying mantis, frogs, turtles, and caterpillars that turned into butterflies!
